Our history
Blackthorn was founded in 2015 by three colleagues who saw a common problem: Salesforce users were constantly switching between tools and wrangling data just to get basic work done.
Their first solution—Salesforce-native payment processing—solved that problem in one area. But a bigger disconnect quickly emerged around events. Teams were planning, running, and measuring events with spreadsheets and third-party tools, while valuable customer data remained siloed in Salesforce.
Blackthorn Events was created to bring event planning directly into the core system that organizations use every day. Today, our suite of Salesforce-native apps helps companies use the data they already have to create more personalized events and track results with precision. From higher education and nonprofits to healthcare and beyond, teams trust Blackthorn to extend the power of their CRM and better connect with the audiences they serve.
